Train your new litigation associates to master discovery - faster, smarter, and with confidence.
The Litigator Launch Pad
Practical training taught by veteran attorney Olivia St. Clair Long and litigation trainer, Ann Pearson. Together, we guide new litigation associates through the critical discovery phase of litigation so your cases move forward smoothly, and your partners can get back to the work that brings in revenue for the firm.
Why Discovery Training Matters
Unclear on deadlines?
That’s missed opportunities and potential sanctions.
Too much time spent?
That’s lost billable hours and revenue for the firm.
Mistakes and errors?
That’s your senior attorneys fixing them and more lost revenue.
Your lawyers want to practice law.
They do not want to be trainers.

What makes Litigator Launch Pad different?
Unlike generic CLE programs, this training is:
- Attorney-focused: Designed specifically for new litigation associates by a managing partner who was formerly a litigation associate.
- Phase-specific: We go deep into the discovery phase, where associates need the most hands-on practical guidance.
- Real-world training: Taught by legal professionals, each with many decades of experience inside law firms.
WHAT OTHER LITIGATION ASSOCIATES ARE SAYING
“I recently completed the Litigator Launch Pad program, and I am impressed. This training is an excellent resource for new attorneys looking to build confidence and practical skills in litigation. The curriculum is well-structured, covering everything from how to develop a winning mindset to the practical skills necessary to succeed as a litigator (the in-depth discovery module was particularly helpful).
The program blends foundational knowledge with real-world applications and examples, providing actionable insights that can be immediately applied in practice. This program was clearly made by experienced practitioners because it addressed all of the pieces of the litigation process that I was nervous about as a new attorney.
Litigator Launch Pad has been an indispensable tool for my professional growth thus far. Highly recommend!“

When a litigation associate develops this important mindset, they learn to solve problems and proactively manage their cases.

Module 2
PROFESSIONAL BEHAVIORS

We also show the associate how to master their attention to detail and manage their time efficiently.

Module 3

Moving into the pleadings and motions phase of a litigation case, associates will learn to master e-filing, drafting pleadings, and preparing motions.
We round out this module with the associate preparing the partner for hearings.

Module 4
MASTERING DISCOVERY
They teach the theory and basics of discovery in law school. We teach what a litigation associate does during the discovery phase to be the most valuable asset on the legal team.

Meet the Instructors

Olivia is a graduate of the University of Chicago Law School, and is licensed to practice law in both Illinois and her home state of California. During more than 15 years as a litigator, Olivia transitioned from successfully representing institutional commercial litigation clients of AmLaw 100 firms to establishing her own boutique firm specializing in family law and litigation.
As a law firm owner, Olivia observed that the ad hoc nature of associate attorney training across the industry made learning and growing harder than it needed to be for those newer to the profession. Olivia looked everywhere for a training solution for her firm that could eliminate the time commitment and potential for inconsistency and knowledge gaps that law firms suffer in training their litigation associates. When she found the Paralegal Bootcamp series by Ann Pearson, she knew the model could and should be expanded to create associate training modules that encompass essential litigation skills.
Ann Pearson is the co-founder of LLP and the Founder of the Paralegal Boot Camp, where she provides training programs to law firms. Ann has been helping law firms provide their paralegals with professional development for more than a decade.
Before founding the company in 2010, Ms. Pearson had 20 years of experience in the legal industry. She was the paralegal manager at McKenna, Long & Aldridge LLP, where she managed the paralegals, docket clerks, and case assistants in Atlanta, New York, and San Diego.
As a paralegal manager, Ann significantly increased the skill set and profitability of McKenna’s paralegal group through methods that she has developed and defined for years inside the Paralegal Boot Camp. She now takes that experience into the Litigator Launch Pad training programs, combining her course development experience with the first-hand attorney experience that her co-founder brings.
