Billable Hour Boot Camp

Your best year ever with the

Billable Hour Boot Camp

When you are trying to explain the billable hour thing to your friends who don’t work in law firms, do you say:

“I live my life tracking my time in 6-minute increments…and I love it!”

Said no paralegal.  Ever.

Does meeting your annual billable hour quota stress you out?

The Billable Hour Boot Camp is the course for you!

Mastering time entry and being able to exceed the firm’s billable hour goal is a critical skill for a paralegal’s success at a law firm.  And yet, it’s a skill that’s barely every taught to us.

Don’t let another year go by stressing about billable hours and how to draft those time entries!

“This training was transforming for our team. I highly recommend this for anyone who wants to take their career to the next level!”
“We hosted several Paralegal Boot Camps and our paralegals in attendance were able to increase their skill set in just one day of training. I am very pleased with the feedback and immediate results!”
“A great resource for new and experienced paralegals!”
"I can't say enough good things about the Paralegal Boot Camp and Ann Pearson's style of teaching!"

Course Detail

This course is approximately 3 hours in length. Click the course modules below to read more detail on the course content.

Module 1: A 6-Step Plan to Increasing Your Billable Hours

In this session, we provide you with a 6-step plan to implement right away to get more billable work and increased billable hours. Through hands-on exercises and instruction, we will help you to establish a plan on how you will meet that billable hour goal this year.

Module 2: The Art & Science of Drafting Time Entries

We expand on what to do now that you are getting more billable hours and show you how to draft time entries that will stay on the bill. We do this through drafting techniques that will convert your time entries into something that the billing partner and the client see as a value.  We also discuss some of the most common reasons for write-offs and what you can do to make sure your time entries don’t contain those reasons.

Module 3: Get a Better Work/Life Balance with Increased Productivity

Not every billable hour is the same.  If it takes one paralegal 12 hours of work time to bill the same 7 hours that another paralegal does in 8 hours of work time, it’s going to start to affect all areas of your work and home life.  In the final module, we show you how to achieve a better work/life balance through increased productivity while you are in the office, so that you can be out of the office at a decent time.
